Current State of Bitcoin: Total Supply, Blockchain Size, and Transaction Count in 2024

As of now (2024), here’s the current status of Bitcoin generation, the size of the blockchain, and number of transactions:

Total Bitcoin Supply: Bitcoin has a maximum supply of 21 million coins, but not all of them have been mined yet.
Bitcoins Mined So Far (2024): Approximately 19.45 million Bitcoin have been mined so far, leaving only about 1.55 million Bitcoin left to be mined.
Block Reward Halving: The reward that miners receive for mining a block halves approximately every four years (this is called the halving event). As of 2024, the block reward is 6.25 Bitcoin per block. The next halving, expected in 2024, will reduce the reward to 3.125 Bitcoin per block.

Blockchain Size: The size of the Bitcoin blockchain (the full transaction history) has grown significantly over the years. As of 2024, the Bitcoin blockchain is about 500-600 GB in size.
This size represents the data of all confirmed transactions, including block data, transaction histories, and cryptographic signatures.
